Product Description: Ankle Air Walking Boot

The Ankle Air Walking Boot is designed to provide maximum stability and support after an injury or post-operative procedures. It is suitable for acute ankle sprains, soft tissue injuries, post-operative use, and stable lower leg, foot, and ankle fractures. This boot features medial/lateral air bladders that offer customizable compression for increased comfort and reduced edema. The fixed aluminum uprights allow the frame to be adjusted to better conform to the contour of the leg. With a shock-absorbing insole and rocker sole, this boot helps reduce the impact of heel strike while promoting a natural gait for uninterrupted daily activities.

Proper Size:

Choosing the correct size is crucial for the optimal functionality of the brace. Please refer to the size chart and use foot length for a more precise fit. If you are near the maximum size, consider a larger boot in the following situations:

• You wear wide shoes
• You will be using bandages or wearing thick socks
• You have swelling
• You prefer a looser fit

If you are near the minimum size, consider a smaller boot in the following situations:

• You wear narrow shoes or have slim feet
• You prefer a tighter fit

Proper Application of the United Ortho Ankle Air Walking Boot:

Step 1: Open all the straps and take the liner out of the boot. Place your foot in the liner, ensuring that your heel is slid to the back. For a proper fit, remove the top strap completely. Additional comfort pads are provided to fill gaps in the liner and provide additional padding where needed.

Step 2: Close the liner, starting from your toes. Make sure the liner is snug around your foot and leg.

Step 3: Place your foot with the liner inside the boot, ensuring that your heel is pushed to the back. Attach and fasten the top strap once your foot is in the proper position.

Step 4: Fasten the straps, starting from the toes and working up. It is normal for the toes to extend past the end of the liner. However, if the toes extend beyond the rigid shell, a larger size is necessary. Ensure that your heel is properly positioned in the back of the boot. If you experience numbness, tingling, or discomfort, loosen the strap until you are comfortable. If any of these symptoms persist, please consult a medical professional.

Step 5: To inflate the boot, turn the "inflate/deflate" knob clockwise until it stops turning. Press and release the blue air bulb several times until the air liner provides the desired support. Note that the liner may expand during initial use, and additional pumps may be required to return to the desired support.

Step 6: To deflate the boot, turn the "inflate/deflate" knob counterclockwise until it stops turning. If the air liner is fully deflated, it may take upwards of 50 pumps to regain the desired support.
